Koppány Pines

PRACTICAL MOTORHOME MAGAZINE named us as “One of the 20 must visits european sites for 2019”

See 14. Hungarian countryside – For a really relaxing trip to Hungary, stay at Koppany Pines, a small and peaceful site in the countryside, about a 50-minute drive south of Lake Balaton. There are several thermal spa towns nearby, and the site is close enough to Budapest for day trips to the capital

Embrace nature

– a classic camping experience where you will be received with a warm welcome and chance to enjoy a campfire.

Small, friendly and flowing beautifully with nature.

Nature is so powerful, so strong. Capturing its essence is not easy – your work becomes a dance with light and the weather. It takes you to a place within yourself.

Annie Leibovitz

Hungarian Country Camping does just that, it takes you to a place of serenity.  A fantastic retreat for solo travellers, families, couples, friends and those gripped by wanderlust who prefer to explore at a more relaxed pace in harmony with the surroundings.

Koppany Pines has three camping areas …

      Orchard Patch

Original part of the campsite with hardstanding & tent pitches.

      Tall Pines

Pitches is for larger motorhomes, vans and caravans.

      Grassy Glebe

Non-electric grass pitches for a real back to nature experience.

      Pool - May - September

      Dog Friendly

Oscar is our dog and when making the adjustments to the campsite we considered the issues we had when camping with a pet.  A big plus for us is being located directly on the Koppany Valley Trails there was no issue with off leash walking.

      We offer

Jackie Lambert and her husband visited the site last year for a stopover on their romanian roadtrip with her four dogs.  Jackie has written a number of books based on travelling with dogs and has the renown blog
