This excursion is a full day out and includes entry to Deg Festetics House and Park and the historical Ozora Castle

Following a leisurely 45 min drive we arrive at Deg Festetics House and Park

This is your chance to visit part of the National Trust of Monuments for Hungary.  Four consecutive generations of the Festetics family lived in the building in the early 19th and mid 20th century.  The layout of the enormous neoclassical house shows the design and features from the era. The house is set in large landscape garden with surrounding lakes. The park of Deg was not only an ornamental garden but in keeping with the traditions of European landscape gardening it also gave room to pastures, a deer park, a pheasantry, an orchard, and a Swiss dairy farm.  In the boating lake fish were also bred and can be seen and caught to this day.

There is an opportunity to stop over  at a roadside restaurant for lunch and sample traditional Hungarian cuisine ( langos for example.)

After lunch we visit Ozora Historical Castle which is set in a 15th century Italian renaissance style palace.

On our return journey we visit a family run ice cream , coffee and cake business in Pincehely
